Volunteers are an integral part of the Hospice and an invaluable support to our staff. There are many ways you can be of assistance and any help offered is greatly appreciated.

Hospice East Rand cares for an average of 240 patients per month.
Our caregiver service is a vital part of patient care. They become involved in offering patients and their families much needed emotional support. The Caregivers course is a prerequisite for all volunteers wishing to become involved in patient care. Contact the Hospice reception for further information on 011 422 1531.
Our ten charity shops are the backbone of our fundraising efforts and supply regular income towards daily running costs. We are always in need of volunteers to assist the shop managers. If you can spare us four hours of your day, once a week, it would be much appreciated.
Volunteers assist our book shop manager.
Duties such as driving, counting coins, assisting at events etc. are tasks where volunteers can be of great assistance.
