Hospice East Rand’s Springs charity shop is appealing to the community for donations.
Hospice East Rand is appealing to the community to donate unused or unwanted household items to its Springs charity shop.
Jonquil Siepman, Hospice East Rand marketing and media liaison, said the charity shop is in desperate need of donations. “Many of our patients cannot afford care and this is where you and your donations make a huge impact on your community. “Through the resale of your unwanted goods, we are able to generate funding to support our patients diagnosed with a life-limiting illness,” said Siepman.
Siepman said all funds raised through the donations will go directly towards helping their patients. Community members may assist the charity shop by donating household items that are still in good working order. These include but are not limited to kitchenware, crockery, cutlery, linen, curtains, ornaments, toys, furniture, electrical appliances, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs, CDs and old clothes for men, women and children.
“By donating your unused or unwanted household items to our Hospice East Rand charity shop, you’re not only freeing up space but you’re helping our NPO,” said Siepman.
The charity Shop is located at shop 7, Chalu Place, 210 Nigel Road, Selcourt. If you would like to donate or get in touch, contact shop manager Corne Coomans on 064 748 6405.
