Hospice East Rand is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of their recent Bring-a-Thing Spring Clean fundraiser, made possible through the generous support of St Benedict’s College. This heartwarming initiative saw students, staff, and parents coming together to donate a wide range of items, from household goods to clothing, all of which will go a long way in supporting the vital work we do in the community.
The Bring-a-Thing Spring Clean fundraiser is an annual event where members of the community are encouraged to donate gently used items to our charity shops, which are a crucial source of funding for Hospice East Rand. Thanks to the incredible participation of St Benedict’s College, this year’s event was a resounding success, enabling us to continue providing compassionate care to individuals and families facing life-threatening illnesses.
“We are truly grateful to St Benedict’s College for their unwavering support,” say Jonquil Siepman, media and marketing liaison for at Hospice East Rand. “The generosity shown by the school community will make a real difference to the lives of those we care for. Every donation helps us maintain our services and extend comfort and dignity to our patients and their families.”
Hospice East Rand relies on the generosity of the community to sustain its work, and events like the Bring-a-Thing not only help raise much-needed funds but also bring people together in the spirit of giving. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone at St Benedict’s College for their contributions.
As we celebrate the success of this event, we invite others in the community to follow the example of St Benedict’s College and consider ways they can support Hospice East Rand, whether through donations, volunteering, or participating in future fundraisers. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who need it most.
