Our Charity Shops
Hospice East Rand is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on donations, fundraisers and bequests to provide our services. To ensure long-term sustainability, we have nine established charity shops and a bookshop in our operating area. Donation of goods for resale in these shops is an invaluable way of helping our Hospice maintain its high standard of care. These shops form the backbone of the continuous income required.
Our shops are really grateful for any of the above donations. They fly off our shelves and help raise vital funds.
What Can Be Donated?
We are appreciative of all your un-used or unwanted household items that are still in working order. These include but are not limited to: pots and pans; crockery; cutlery; linen; curtains; ornaments; toys; furniture; electrical appliances in working order; bric-a-brac; books; DVDs; CDs; mens, ladies and children’s clothing.
How to Donate
Items need to be in working condition to be sold. We do not have the facilities to repair broken donations. Donate your pre-loved items by bagging them up and dropping them off at your nearest charity shop.

She is available Monday, Wednesday & Friday 08:30 – 13:30, Tuesday & Thursday 08:30 – 16:00, she will not be available outside of these hours as well as on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
