Holy Rosary School for Girls in Edenvale recently made a donation of much-needed items to Hospice East Rand. The students, led by Mrs Sharon Meyer, Head of Religion and Life Orientation, collected various items on Hospice’s wish list during the period of lent.
“We’re always committed to helping and giving back to our community,” said Mrs Meyer. “Our learners took this initiative to heart and collected numerous items to benefit Hospice East Rand. We are grateful to everyone who contributed towards these donations.”
Jonquil Siepman, Marketing and Media Liaison at Hospice East Rand, expressed her sincere appreciation for the school’s generosity. “Things are always better when a community works together,” she said. “We were overwhelmed by the bags of goodies waiting for us to collect. Thank you to everyone who contributed towards these. Your kindness keeps us going!”
Hospice East Rand is a non-profit organization that provides palliative care to patients diagnosed with a life threatening illness. They rely on the support and donations from the community to continue their work, and the contribution from Holy Rosary School is a significant help.
The school and its students have demonstrated their commitment to making a difference in their community. This act of kindness and generosity is a reminder that even small contributions can make a big impact on the lives of those in need.
Once again, Hospice East Rand and the entire community extend their heartfelt gratitude to Holy Rosary School and its students for their donation.
